Jake is the resident expert of Google Sheets and formulas and financial models. He loves a good habit tracker, developing OKRs (even for his family), and dabbling in fiction writing.

Jake partners with early-stage founders to help operationalize their visions, develop and execute milestones, and master fundraising - among other things.

In addition to his role at Small Great Ventures, Jake serves as a Principal at Temerity Capital Partners and Managing Director of the Temerity Impact Fund. Jake leads Temerity’s investments in pre-seed and seed startups in the social impact space.

Previously, Jake founded ChangeRoots, a platform designed to combat toxic partisanship, and helped found and build Asurity Technologies, which simplifies mortgage compliance through intelligent automation. Jake’s additional experience includes consulting financial institutions, lobbying Congress, and congressional campaigns.

Jake serves on the board of FairVote - an organization spearheading the rank-choice voting movement.
